Welcome!

This page is here to help answer some of the most common questions we get from new clients. Our goal is to give you a clear sense of how we work, what to expect, and how to prepare, so the experience feels smooth and stress-free from the very start.

We understand that getting a tattoo — especially a large-scale piece — comes with a lot of unknowns. From design details to scheduling to cost, it’s normal to have plenty of questions before you begin the process.

Our Philosophy

We take a big-picture approach to tattooing. We view the body as a whole. Even if you never plan to get something as large as a backpiece or a full sleeve, we prioritize flow, scale, and direction so that your tattoo feels balanced and complete at every stage. Many clients start small, but over time, it’s very common to expand and we want your tattoos to grow with you in a way that feels natural and unified.

Onee of the most common things we work with is simplifying ideas. Sometimes clients want to fit a lot of images into a small space, which can make the tattoo feel compartmentalized or segmented. We’ll often recommend considering a more simplified approach so the design flows better and feels harmonious with your body.

We especially enjoy working with themes of nature ,such as the seasons, elements, and the imagery that flows from them. For example, if you’re unsure what subject matter you’d like, we might ask you to pick a season and an element, like “spring, water.” That simple choice can help guide the direction of your tattoo in a way that is meaningful, creative, and cohesive. By anticipating this possibility from the beginning, we can guide you through the process so you never have to look back years later and wonder how to make all your tattoos fit together. Instead, we help build a sense of cohesion and artistry from the start, so your collection feels intentional , whether it’s a small tattoo or full coverage.

When you book with us, we ask that you come with an open mind and confidence in the process. In return, we’ll bring professionalism, creativity, and care to every tattoo.

The Design Process We create each tattoo custom for the client. For this reason:

Drawings are not sent out ahead of time. You will see your design at your appointment, and adjustments can be made easier in person.

•This process ensures your tattoo stays true to your vision, without outside input from friends, family, or social media watering down the original idea.

•It also protects artwork from being copied, altered, or taken out of context before we’ve had a chance to discuss it together.

Our goal is to keep the design process clear, personal, and collaborative, between you and your artist.

Deposits

A deposit is required to secure all tattoo appointments. Deposits are non-refundable but will be applied to the final cost of your tattoo. Deposit amounts vary by artist — please contact your artist directly for current deposit pricing.

Rescheduling & Cancellations

•We require at least 72 hours’ notice if you need to reschedule so your deposit can transfer to a new date.

•Last-minute cancellations (less than 72 hours) or no-shows will result in a forfeited deposit.

Deposits respect our time, reserve your spot, and allow us to dedicate our energy to creating your design.

A Note About Timing, Pricing & Quotes

We understand the excitement of getting a new tattoo and want to work with you to make it happen. While we always try to accommodate schedules, creating the best tattoo takes time — and rushing often compromises quality.

We charge by the hour, with each artist setting their own rate. Since every tattoo is unique, the total cost depends on size, placement, detail, and the amount of time required. For larger projects like sleeves or backpieces, it can be difficult to give an exact total upfront, since the design often evolves as we go.

We are always happy to work within your budget. Being open about your budget from the beginning allows us to guide the design and scale of your tattoo in a way that makes sense both artistically and financially.

A common question we get is: “How many sessions will it take?” The truth is, it depends. For example, a sleeve can take an average of 3–6 sessions, depending on factors like size, color, detail, and style. Asking for an exact session count can put unnecessary pressure on the project, instead, we prefer to let the work develop at a pace that ensures the best possible result.

Our focus is on quality, collaboration, and creating a piece that you’ll love for life, while being mindful of your budget and timeline.

Payment & Tips

We accept cash or card for all tattoo services. Please note that in Washington, we are required to charge sales tax on services. Tips are always appreciated but never expected. How you choose to tip is entirely up to you — some clients like to tip at the end of their session, some bring small gifts, and some prefer not to tip at all. Please don’t feel stressed about it. Our main goal is that you leave happy with your tattoo, and tips are simply a way to show extra appreciation if you choose.

Preparing for Your Appointment & What to Bring

•Get a good night’s sleep and eat a solid meal beforehand.

•Stay hydrated and avoid alcohol or blood-thinning substances.

•Wear comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the area being tattooed. Feel free to bring headphones, cozy socks, a blanket etc.

•Bring a form of ID for the consent form.

Bring snacks or lunch for full-day sessions. If you’re booked for a long session, we usually take a lunch break. Having food on hand helps your body stay fueled, comfortable, and better able to handle the process.•Bring a positive attitude and patience — the best tattoos are created in a relaxed, collaborative environment.

•Please come alone unless you’ve cleared otherwise with your artist , extra guests can be distracting in the studio. We are happy to meet your family and friends, but our space is small. There are plenty of great coffee shops and places to walk nearby for anyone who comes with you, so they can enjoy their time while you focus on your tattoo.

Please avoid applying numbing creams before your appointment. We will use a topical numbing spray when appropriate throughout the tattoo process. Pre-applied creams don’t last long, can affect skin texture, and ultimately don’t provide the relief you’re hoping for. Trust us — our approach keeps your skin healthy and ensures the best results.

By sending your deposit, you are agreeing to these terms and trusting us with your tattoo. We’re excited to work with you and create something beautiful together.
